Featuring a large 10mm and slightly smaller 8mm enhanced blue Sapphire*, with a slender gold bead in between, the earrings are meticulously handmade in my home studio in Harlem, New York. Finished with short golden ear wires, these Blue Moon babies will pair with almost every outfit in your wardrobe - from casual weekend wear to formal office wear.

♡︎ Gold-filled is a US term for jewelry composed of a solid layer of gold at least 5% of the item's total weight mechanically bonded to either sterling silver or some other base metal.  By contrast, Gold plated metal has only 0.05% of gold electroplated you the base metal. Unless otherwise stated, I only use 14k Gold Filled or Sterling Silver metal in my jewelry, including chains, wire, clasps etc.

♡︎ *Sapphire GF or glass filled is a common treatment to enhance natural Sapphires by filling tiny fissures and cracks occurring in virtually all gemstones - including diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds — with lead glass.  This creates a smoother stone, with more clarity and deeper hues at a reasonable price, and was developed by Tanusorn Lethaisong in Chantaburi, Thailand, in 2007.
